Hi there! Another blog post this week for all of you.
The last time i stepped into Johor was earlier this year. If i'm not wrong, it is the Desaru Trip back in January. You can read the blog post here! Desaru Trip With Family
So i was telling my mum few weeks ago that maybe we should make a trip up to Johor for a day just to go......SHOPPING!!!!!
And we did, last Saturday.
First thing first, there won't be much photos in this post because i didn't manage to capture any photos while walking but i only managed to snap some photos of our delicious food that we had in Johor! Let's Start! We left our house early in the morning at 10am and took the train to Bugis. Oh,just incase if you're wondering, we went to Johor by bus this time round instead of driving. It is my mum's first time entering Johor by bus. We took the Causeway Link bus from Queen street(near bugis) The fees for the bus to Johor is $3.30 for Adults and $1.50 for Children. Since it was a Saturday, there was quite a crowd at the bus terminal, but thats okay because the frequency of the bus is less than 15 mins every single time.
We reached Singapore Customs around 11.30 and thank god for Biometric entry for Singaporeans because it saved us a lot of time! We didn't have to wait that long. Took the bus again to Malaysia's Customs and then that's when....THE WAITING GAME START! We queued up for 45 minutes just to get our passports chopped. This time round, we decided not to shop at our "usual shopping spot" we only went to City Square and Komtar JBCC which is...just beside the Malaysia Customs!(ok, you Singaporeans should know it by now) Since we already went through a long wait at the customs, mum decided to eat at a nice restaurant and my friend recommended us to try StoneGrill.
What exactly is StoneGrill? At first when my friend explained to us how it works, i didn't quite get it until i enter the restaurant. Apparently, you choose your meal, like normal just that, everything that you ordered will be cooked on a stone. Mum ordered the Chicken Tom Yum noodles, my sister had the 9 pieces fresh prawns and I had the New Zealand Sirloin Steak. *drooling while i type this* The portion of the food is so huge that is was sooooo satisfying! The steak was just nice, the noodles was marvelous, the scallop was nice too! YOU GUYS SHOULD JUST VISIT THIS RESTAURANT if you ever go to City Square. StoneGrill is located at B1 just infront of Auntie Annie.
After a delicious meal, we started to shop like cray cray! First stop: H&M! Yes, some of you may say this "why shop at H&M in Malaysia when there's one in Singapore?" The reason is because...the prices are much more cheaper when you convert it to the exchange rate when you change your money $$$. I didn't went as crazy at H&M this time round, i only bought 2 tops because i was saving up for something else...(keep reading) We walked around the mall and entered the Factory Outlet Store (F.O.S) but nothing caught my eye. We then proceed to Komtar JBCC. It was my first time visiting the mall. There's just soooooo many shops that i love such as Victoria Secret, Chanel, Sephora,Bath and Body works and more! We visited Sephora, Bath and Body Works, M.A.C and (my new found favourite store) Brands Outlet!!! All the clothes there are sooooo pretty and of a good quality but i didn't buy all the clothes that i like because i only brought like RM300 only? I'LL BE BE BACK SOON BRAND OUTLET!
We ended off the trip by having late dinner at McDonalds because we are left with RM21 at that point of time! We took the bus back to Singapore and it was a very good day indeed! I will definitely come back to shop and shop till i drop soon after i come back from my Bali Trip. Hehe! Oh and yes, i vlog during my trip and you guys can go and watch it here! I'll leave down a link below! I will also do a haul video next so stay tune!
