Visit to Universal Studios Singapore

I ended off the month of February by visiting Universal Studios Singapore with my BAE and my colleagues. The last time that i went into USS was back in 2013 where i used to have the 6 Months Membership USS Student pass.

There are a lot of changes since the last time i was here. Some of the restaurants in Hollywood has been renamed to something else to suit the theme. The Hollywood Rock show is no longer available. They replaced it with a Sesame Street Show since the theatre is near to where the ride is.

We started off at Hollywood and head down towards Madagascar. It was my first time taking the Madagascar boat ride and it was alright.

There wasn't much things to do at Madagascar area because most of the rides are for kids so we proceed on to Far Far Away(my favourite place of all)

We went for the 4D Shrek show and took the smaller rollercoaster that was available, Enchanted Airways. The reason why i love to be at Far Far Away is because....it's like Disneyland but its not, you get what i mean? Like there's a castle and a princess(minus the Ogre side), and of course, a fairy god mother. We didn't get to see any of the characters though because we were busy exploring other places!

It was a hot sunny day on that day and i can't take the heat so i bought a drink fr the Fairy God Mother Magic Potion shop. Here's me, trying to advertise with the potion bottle and my blackcurrant flavoured slushy!!

Okay enough of advertising the bottle! We moved on to next place, Jurassic Park. Did the Canopy Flyer ride and then as our ride ended, we saw other guest queing up. They're queing up for the Waterworld Show. Since it was almost lunch time, we decided to watch the show before we head on for lunch! The show was alright, maybe because i've watched it for several times already?
We were supposed to have lunch but then we decided to just finish up all the rides at Jurrasic Park first.

Lunch time!! We had our lunch at Goldilocks Restaurant. Mmm yes, chicken! I got to admit that the fried chicken at Goldilocks is really yummy. A place to be recommended! Like i said earlier on, the weather was extremely hot and i was wearing a black shirt so i couldn't take it. I bought a simple white shirt to change to(best feeling ever!).

After lunch, all of us decided not to go to the Mummy Rollercoaster Ride. For safety and health reasons, you do not want to ride a rollercoaster after meal. It'd be a disaster! We walked around New York City, explored and took some pictures, head to Sci Fi City and after a ride at Elmo Save The Spaghetti and Transformers ride, we finally walked down towards The Revenge Of The Mummy area!

While we were walking toward Revenge of The Mummy, the Hollywood Parade has already started so we only got a glimpse of some characters.

Here comes the best part of all! MUMMY ROLLERCOASTER RIDE! Ahhh my favourite ride of all besides the Battlestar Galatica Rollercoaster(which was close at that point of time) only 5 of us took the ride and the rest didn't. Nabilah, Wani and I took a total of 3 mummy rides. I wish i could do more but by the time the last ride ended, i was already giddy!

Our energy level was draining out so fast so we finally had the time to walk around the park and shop for some items. We ended off our day by watching the fireworks at Lake Hollywood and walked all the way from Sentosa to Vivocity.  Everyone was already drained out and all of us took a cab home.

It was a fun trip! I can't wait for more and i also can't wait to be back again when the Battlestar Galatica Rollercoaster is back on track!  Make it fast!

Food Review: Papa Rich @ West Gate Mall a

A proper post today!

I've been to WestGate Mall once or twice with my friends after school. My mum has never been to any shopping mall near Jurong East except for Jcube and IMM. We decided to go shopping at IMM and then walk around West Gate. Mum wanted to try something different for dinner on that day and we found...

About a year or two ago, Papa Rich wasn't halal in Singapore and it got halal recently!
I've never been to any Papa Rich Restaurant before but i know that Papa Rich in Malaysia is halal (almost all the restaurants are halal in Malaysia.)
We decided to dine in at Papa Rich.

Mum had the Asam Laksa, my sister got the Chicken Rice and i got the "Ipoh Kway Teow Soup."
Mum said that the Asam Laksa was alright and for me, the noodles are just...ok. Not so great but i will definitely buy it whenever i want to have something light and not spicy. I was actually looking forward to have tom yum noodles but there no tom yum soup in the menu. *sad face*

I rate this restaurant 8/10. I wish it could have more food in the menu.
A nice and decent dinner for a first timer!
Next up to try is the Japanese Teppanyaki! Been wanting to try it for such a long time but i have to wait until fasting month is over.
Can't wait to enjoy all those great food again!
*drools*

ANYWAY,
Just to let you guys know. I am now very very active on Youtube. I've been filming a lot these past few weeks. I'm currently trying to bring my channel up on Youtube.
I've decided that my Youtube channel will be a Beauty/Music channel
and
I'm going to upload at least 1 or 2 videos per week (depending on how long i'll take to edit one video) if i edit fast, i'll post 2 videos!
Here's the latest video that i posted last night!

Nene Chicken @ Bedok Mall

Tried Nene Chicken for the first time yesterday with my secondary school friends. We decided to have dinner at Nene Chicken since most of us haven't tried it before. At first, I thought that Nene Chicken was like KFC, just normal fried chicken with fries and a coke. Amirah told me that Nene Chicken is from Korea so the chicken is cooked in Korean-Style. Basically the chicken is coated in different type of sauces. There's cheese sauce, Swicy Chicken, Freaking Hot and more like Sesame Chicken. The chicken are served with Buffalo Wings which i think tastes similar as McDonald's Twister Fries.

The set meal and i ordered some 'NenePoP' as my side dish. It's just popcorn chicken. And if you know me, I like spicy food so i ordered the Freaking Hot Chicken and extra Freaking Hot Sauce. I swear it is FREAKING HOT. I had to buy 2 cups of Coke Light because the chicken is too spicy but its sooooooooooo goood (:

I don't even know why it's called Buffalo Sticks. It's not made from Buffalo but...haha, it taste just like McDonald's Twister Fries. Definitely gonna get this when i'm craving for twister fries.

Omg, craving for it again now.  *.*

One weird thing: They will serve you plastic gloves to use when you eat the chicken and it was my first time eating with gloves on so that explains why my face in the third picture, haha. The actual reason why they gave you the glove is because...there's so sink for you to wash your hands after eating. I still don't get it why there's no sink for us to wash our hands. Maybe this is a traditional way of eating at Nene Chicken?

Haziqah had to leave so that explains why we had to take pictures with her first. We ended up walking around Bedok Mall. I bought some sushi, chocolates before going home. Thank god Bedok Mall is just a few metres away from my home.

Had a great dinner with girls! Hope to hang around with you guys again soon!

Taylor Swift's - THE RED TOUR

THE SHOW WAS FREAKING AWESOME!
I gotta admit that Taylor Swift sounds so good live that i had chills when she hits all those high notes! I'm having a post concert depression now, i always have this whenever i go to a concert. The show was so awesome that i wished i had went for both shows in Singapore. Last night's show was the last show for The Red Tour and Taylor sure put in more effort for the last show!

I'm so happy that i got to experience this sold out show. Still remember how heartbroken i was when i didn't had any tickets to her show earlier this week.

I sat directly facing the stage so this picture was taken when i entered the arena. I thought the stage was so small but no, it was huge and it's so near to wear i'm sitting plus there's two stage altogether. Stage A and Stage B. It means that Taylor will perform at both stage! I got to see Taylor clearly when she performed at Stage B.

The show started with an opening act from Imprompt-3, a local band from Singapore who won the Ride to Fame Contest by Cornetto. They opened up the show by performing a few popular songs and some of their original. It took about half an hour before Taylor makes her appearance. She started off the show with performing her hit song, Treacherous. Next was Holy Ground. The audience was so hyped up all the time during the show! I like how Swifties (Taylor Swift's fans) dress up themselves in red colored shirts, pants and even had some posters and LED light around them. It is a tradition to do a LED light poster for a Taylor Swift's concert.

Don't know if you could see it.

Taylor then did an opening speech for Singapore and then continued singing. She sang the song Red so perfectly that i had chills because it was SO GOD DAMN AWESOME. She totally killed those high notes. Taylor sang 13 songs in total.

- Treacherous
- Holy Ground
-Red
- Mean
-The Lucky One
- 22
-You Belong With Me (B-Stage)
- Long Live (B-Stage)
- Sparks Fly (B-Stage)
- I Knew You Were Trouble
- All Too Well
- Love Story
- We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Finale)

You can find more videos of her singing on Youtube. And guess who i saw at the concert sitting near the sound pit area??? I freaking saw Ellie Goulding at the show too! She is in Singapore for her own concert today, Friday 13th. Taylor definitely sang every song perfectly and i could see that she's tired but she put in more effort since its the last show. The dancers and the band was awesome too. Last night was just... magical. I didn't thought that i could be at Taylor's show. My dreams definitely came true last night and i'm thankful for everything that has happened to me these past few years. I like how i am enjoying myself going to concerts and meeting and making new friends everywhere. Love it.

That's it. That's the end of the RED era and I'm waiting for Taylor to release her next album, album number 5! Her manager announced that album 5 will be better and the fans will totally love it. Can't wait for it! I wish i could thank Taylor personally for what she has done in my life. She's my inspiration and i like how she can write songs in under 30 minutes and play the guitar for hours and hours till her fingers will bleed.

Definitely a great night last night.
Gotta go and heal my post concert depression now.
Till then,
Love

PRE CONCERT - TAYLOR SWIFT THE RED TOUR

So excited to blog about this because.....I have to tell you guys this!
I'M GOING TO TAYLOR SWIFT'S
THE RED TOUR
CONCERT!

I was heartbroken the other day when the tickets for the Red Tour was sold out in under 30 minutes after it was being released. I missed the chance to see Taylor back in 2011 when she was doing her Sparks Fly tour and I really don't want to miss any chance, anymore! Initially, there is only one show for Singapore but due to the political events that is going on in Bangkok, Taylor's crew decided to cancel off the show and add another show in Singapore!

The best part is that... SINGAPORE IS THE LAST STOP FOR THE RED TOUR, WHICH MEANS, IT MUST BE SPECIAL RIGHT?? I can't wait to share this experience with all of you. Be sure to hang around my blog and wait for the blog post to be up! I promise i will blog about it as soon as i get home or the next day!

Can't wait! See you in less than a day, Taylor!

Youtube Fan Fest - 24th May 2014

My FIRST time ever going for the Youtube Fan Fest, last Saturday. Youtube Fan Fest started in May 2013, where they brought famous Youtubers to Southeast Asia and other countries. Last two years, it was the Youtube Stars Concert where they invite mostly the musicians on Youtube to come to Singapore and perform. Last year, they invited more Youtubers that makes different kinds of video to come to Singapore. I still remember last year, they invited the amazing singers like Chester See, Sam Tsui, Kurt Schneider, the make-up guru like Bethany Mota and more... I didn't go for the event last year but i got to go this year!

I didn't have tickets to see any of the shows but, i saw some sources on Twitter saying that there will be a red carpet at the event itself which is located at Scape, Orchard. Since i didn't have any tickets, i decided to just go to the red carpet to get a glimpse of my favorite Youtuber, Bethany Mota (who does make-up tutorials, DIY's) and the rest of the Youtuber who is coming down for the event. Ryan Higa, Tyler Oakley, Troye Sivan, Xiaxue, Tosh Rock and more other Youtubers from Singapore and other countries were also there for the event.

Here's me taking picture at the red carpet with the larger than life poster of the Youtube Fan Fest.

(The weather was extremely hot that day so that explains why i didn't bother to dress up because i know i'm going to sweat a lot while waiting.)

I took part in some of the contest to win the Meet And Greet with Bethany Mota by HP Singapore. But sadly, i didn't win the Meet and Greet but...(stay tuned)

The 3pm show ended at 5pm and so that's when all the Youtuber will walk down the red carpet and meet all their fans that are waiting for them by the barriers near the red carpet. I saw Munah and Hirzi right infront of my eyes. I didn't bother to go to the front because i couldn't stand the pushing and pulling from the other fans so i stood at the back and just watched from afar. I only came to the front when Bethany was walking around signing autographs and taking pictures and i managed to snap some pictures of her and the rest of the Youtubers walking down the red carpet.

To cut it short, there was a surprise visit by Black Eyed Peas. The stars only got 15 minutes to walk down the red carpet before the next show. I waited till 7pm just to know who will win the Meet and Greet. They needed 100 people to do a simple video and so i ran and took part and I WON THE TICKET TO THE 8pm show on that day but.. i only got one so i couldn't go because i can't leave my cousin alone because he accompanied me for the whole day.

I had an idea. I decided to give away my ticket to someone who is really a fan of Bethany and must totally deserve it. There's this girl who won a Meet and Greet and she said that she is willing to trade for a ticket and so yeap, i did trade my ticket with her for a MEET AND GREET WITH BETH! I shall share about the experience soon, when i have the time (if i remember, haha)

This event is nothing compared to the F1 Closing Concert last year where i waited 8 hours under the hot sun just to see my babe, Justin Bieber. But, it was all worth it!

I hope to see more of this event being held in Singapore but the location seriously needs to be changed. A special thanks to my cousin who spent the whole day waiting for me and wasting his time for me to see my stars. Thanks!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

THE BODY SHOP HAUL

The Body Shop Mega Sale
All items at 70% OFF!
Location: Singapore Expo, Hall 6B
18-20 April 2014

Mum told me about this mega sale a few days ago and said that she wants to visit the Mega Sale during the weekend and we finally did it, today. This time round, it was my treat for mum since she turned 47 years "young" on Monday. It's really hard to get MEGA SALES from The Body Shop. Therefore, if you're a big BODY SHOP fan like me, this is a good opportunity to spend your $$$ on The Body Shop products.

I've never had any make up products from The Body Shop before because of the expensive price. Since there's a 70% off for all the items, i decided to try the EXTRA VIRGIN MINERALS Cream Foundation and Loose Powder which is only selling at $10 each. I know it's really cheap! The original price for these make up products can reach up to $40 per product. Well, you must be wondering, why is it selling at $10? The reason is because...the expiry date is only 6 months away (: and now we know why its selling at a really cheap price!

It's not a problem for me because my instincts are telling me that i will finish it in less than 6 months.

Most of the body lotion belongs to my mum because she's a LOTION FREAK!
We've calculated everything and my mum's stuff totals up to only $67 and mine is $81. I think that all these is a really great buy!

You still have a day left to visit the Mega Sale at Singapore Expo! Tomorrow is the last day for the sale so grab the chance when you have it!

Hope this post helps!

Athirah
