Mum told me about this mega sale a few days ago and said that she wants to visit the Mega Sale during the weekend and we finally did it, today. This time round, it was my treat for mum since she turned 47 years "young" on Monday. It's really hard to get MEGA SALES from The Body Shop. Therefore, if you're a big BODY SHOP fan like me, this is a good opportunity to spend your $$$ on The Body Shop products. 

I've never had any make up products from The Body Shop before because of the expensive price. Since there's a 70% off for all the items, i decided to try the EXTRA VIRGIN MINERALS Cream Foundation and Loose Powder which is only selling at $10 each. I know it's really cheap! The original price for these make up products can reach up to $40 per product. Well, you must be wondering, why is it selling at $10? The reason is because...the expiry date is only 6 months away (: and now we know why its selling at a really cheap price! 

It's not a problem for me because my instincts are telling me that i will finish it in less than 6 months. 

Most of the body lotion belongs to my mum because she's a LOTION FREAK! 

We've calculated everything and my mum's stuff totals up to only $67 and mine is $81. I think that all these is a really great buy! 

You still have a day left to visit the Mega Sale at Singapore Expo! Tomorrow is the last day for the sale so grab the chance when you have it!

River Safari with family

I've been to River Safari before but i only had the chance to only see the Panda's because the rest of the park isn't ready yet. River Safari was open in late November 2013. I've had my internship at the Singapore Zoo before but i have yet to visit River Safari and have a full tour around the park. Thanks to my cousin who got free tickets, my family and i finally had the chance to visit River Safari for the first time!!

I was shocked to see some of my friends that i made during the Halloween Event last year. They're working as a part-timer and now, i regret not choosing River Safari as one of my choices for my internship. But it's alright! 

The main thing to look forward for when you're visiting River Safari is the boat ride. The boat ride will bring you around all the rivers around the world (that's the reason why it's called River Safari.) 

like the River Nile, Amazon River and more rivers that you can find around the world! But, if you can't get any tickets for the boat ride, no worries! You can still view 85% of the other rivers on foot!

I honestly think that the only best thing about River Safari is the aquarium and the monkey area. I was expecting more fun of River Safari but sadly, I don't find anything that interest me except for the Panda's? I didn't get to see much animals on display due to the crowd in the park on that day! 

Like i said earlier on, the only display that interest me is the Panda's. Luck wasn't on our side because one of the panda's was kept in its den and the other one was sleeping even though it is on display. It's okay, I've seen the pandas before so i'm not sad that i didn't get to take pictures of the panda! The Red Panda is adorable though! It keeps on climbing up and down the trees branch. 

Overall, my trip to the River Safari was a so-so trip. I don't think i'll come back anytime soon unless i have free tickets and of course, the next time I'm visiting River Safari, I'll make sure that I will come early in the morning so that i can the tickets for the boat ride before it sells out! I still think that River Safari will be good for tourist because you can't actually find a park with a theme of a river anywhere else in South East Asia? At least that's what i know! 

I'll be back in 5-10 years time, River Safari!

Family Trip to Hello Kitty Town, Puteri Harbour

Back from my two days getaway/trip with my family last Sunday! I was too tired to blog about this yesterday and since i have lots of time today, i should blog about my trip then! Mind me, this post will be a long post.

Saturday, 29th March - Left Singapore in the morning so that we will get to Malaysia faster and also escape from the jam at Tuas Checkpoint since it was a Saturday morning. We had our breakfast at one of the resting area before we continued our journey to Nusajaya, Johor Bahru. Hello Kitty Town is located at Puteri Harbour. In order to get to Puteri Harbour, you need to drive through Nusajaya first. The journey from the resting area to Puteri Harbour took us about 1 hour. Our hotel, Traders Hotel, is located at Puteri Harbour too and the best thing is that... Hello Kitty Town is just beside the hotel!! Puteri Harbour itself is located so far away from Johor Bahru town. Our hotel is at the end of the harbour and it is facing the sea. 

We only got to check in into one room first because the other room wasn't ready. That wasn't a problem for us because we are going to explore Hello Kitty Town so we left our luggage in one room first. 

Time to explore Hello Kitty Town! We booked the package so that we can visit two theme parks in one ticket. We went to Little Big's Club first since its located at the highest level (level 3) Little Big Club consist of cartoon characters from Barney, Thomas and Friend, Bob the Builder, Angelina the Ballerina, Pingu and of course, Hello Kitty at the Hello Kitty Town itself! 

I won't elaborate more on the Little Big's Club because the main point is the Hello Kitty Town!

All the pictures above are taken at Hello Kitty's House. I totally love her house so much! I could imagine if i have a house like hers... She even have a walk-in wardrobe. Come one guys, something to think about! HELLO KITTY HAS A WALK-IN WARDROBE and i DONT?! Unfortunately, Hello Kitty is only a imaginary cat. I think if she really exist in real life, she'll be the most prettiest cat on Earth! Gotta love her so much on that! 

We spent nearly half of the day at Hello Kitty Town. I actually wanted to grab some Hello Kitty Merchandise from the gift shop but... the price was.... extremely expensive, obviously. All the stuff is imported from Sanrio and Sanrio is from Japan so that explains why. Thank god i'm not die-hard fan of Hello Kitty so i don't actually feel a lost if i don't buy anything from the shop! 

Spent the rest of the night travelling to Johor Bahru town to have our dinner and that's the end of Day 1! 

Sunday, 30th March, Day 2 - Breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. The food was good! 

We even had a room to our self for our breakfast! Spent rest of the morning in the room and then...something really nice happened! My cousin's room minibar was spoil since the time they checked in so they complaint about it and after the technician tried to fix it, the minibar is still not working. As a sense of apology, the hotel manager, Mr Farouk, decided to give our family a complimentary lunch at the hotel's restaurant. Kudos to that good service! The food was delicious! Lots of varieties to choose from! 

Definitely a good hotel to stay at if you're planning to visit Hello Kitty Town. Though its really far from town and at the end of Nusajaya, i still think this hotel is worth the bucks! 

We left Nusajaya for Johor Bahru town to shop! I bought a lot of stuff from Aeon which is located at Bukit Indah and also spent a lot at Pandan City! Do you want a haul video?

CLASS OUTING @ SENTOSA

Sorry for the long hiatus! Busy with school and projects but now, i can officially say that i am done with my projects. I'm only left with one BIG project coming up after my two week vacation. My section head was so kind to let us have our class outing on Friday since the other class went for dragon boat event at Kallang. 

My class never had any outing together before so this was our first time organizing an outing. It was indeed a nice, simple and last minute plan. All of us decided not to go to the dragon boat event because we won't get to join and race with other teams so we decided to have our outing at Sentosa, Siloso Beach. 

At first, all of us ate together as a class but as time passed by, everyone was separated into their own groups.(lol, so much for class bonding -.-) But nevertheless, my friends and i enjoyed the times together swimming in the sea, build a sandcastle, play beach volleyball and had our late lunch together. I wished that the class will be more bonded but neh. It's okay! 

I didn't take lots of photos because i was concentrating more on taking videos so that i could edit it and make it into a vlog instead but now, my video editor is giving me problems rendering it so that explains why i can't upload here on my blog! I'll try to if i can! 

Can't wait for next weekend because...I'm going for a short GETAWAY! I'm going to Hello Kitty Town at Puteri Harbout, Johor Bahru with my family next weekend so no worries alright? I'll make sure i will do a vlog and take lots and lots of pictures just for my blog! 

Review:I AM CAFE @ HAJI LANE

Made my virgin trip to I AM CAFE last Thursday with my cousins, mum and nephew. I've heard a lot of reviews about this cafe and so that's the reason why i recommend to have dinner at this cafe for our monthly gathering. 

Thank god we came early and there was some spaces left for us to sit and so this is what we ordered. 

Fries and Mayo 

Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce and Home Made Meatballs 

Sotong Balls On Fire and Cheesy Bombs 

Charcoal Grilled Juicy Beef Burger 

I had the Charcoal Grilled Juicy Beef Burger. I was hoping that the Beef Burger will be really really juicy just like what the they described in the menu but no, the beef patty isn't juicy at all, to be honest, the burger is not juicy at all. It's dry. I don't know whether it's because its grilled or its naturally dry.  I was hoping for it to be delicious but no. 

Mum and one of my cousin had the pasta with tomato basil sauce and home made meatballs. I asked mum how was the pasta and she said that the pasta was hard, wished it could be boiled for a little longer and add more sauce so that its not dry. Most of the food that we tried was so dry except for the Sotong Balls On Fire and Cheesy Bombs. Oh! We ordered Chicken Wings too but the Chicken looks like it got fried for too long and yes, dry! 
No comments for the Fries and Mayo because all i can say is... Mc Donalds Fries tastes BETTER! 

But, hold the trumpet! I gotta admit that the desserts was delicious. We had the Rainbow Cake and Rainbow Mille Crepe and gotta say that this is by far the most delicious Rainbow Cake i've ever tasted before! I could taste the Cream Cheese Fillings! Satisfaction! Maybe the reason why this cafe is popular is because of the desserts? Maybe? I don't know about that but to me, there's nothing good to rave about this cafe except for the desserts! 

Everything cost us about $112.75! Yes, the service tax is $10! So bring extra cash if you want to! 

To end my post for today, I met up with one of my favorite make-up guru from Youtube, Missglamorazzi or known as Ingrid Nilsen! She's having her vacation in Singapore so she decided to have a meet up with her fans here! Eighteen Chefs!

I can't remember the last time i ate at Eighteen Chefs! I think it was a few years back when i was in my primary/secondary school days. Eighteen Chef was introduced by my cousin to me last time and after so, every time i will make my way to Eastpoint to have it. But since Eastpoint Mall was closed down for renovation, Eighteen Chefs has been relocated at Cineleisure Orchard. 

I finally had the time and money to go and eat something from Eighteen Chefs yesterday with Nabilah! 

We both picked the student meal which only cost $6.40! You get to pick a Base, Sauce, toppings + extra toppings if you want to! Also, they will serve you with a cup of lemon tea and a plate of ice-cream with moist chocolate cake/brownie! Nabilah went with the pasta with Spicy Tomato Sauce and Chicken Sausage and I went with the Double Cheese Baked Rice with Black Pepper and Chicken Sausage as toppings. 

We even ordered a side dish. We ordered the Cheesy Fries and Cheesy Wings as our side dish! Everything was so cheesy yesterday! (I had to pick yesterday as a cheese day) I had a taste of all the food. The Pasta with Spicy Tomato tastes good and spicy! The cheesy fries is different from any other cheese fries i've ever tasted before. Everything tastes good except for the cheesy wings. Initially, i thought the cheesy wings will be like cheesy mozarella sticks dip in mayonaise but i was wrong. It is chicken wings baked in cheese. And it tastes super salty! I won't recommend having that for a first timer! The ice-cream and brownie taste good too but they should really serve the ice-cream after all our meal. 

                 

I will DEFINITELY come back here to try out the rest that is in the menu but i'll try to bring cash instead of using NETS. You guys should really come here after school ( if you have time) and try out the dishes! Remember to bring your student pass for verification purposes.
