Maleficent Movie (Review)

Watched "Maleficent" today! It was a last last minute plan to go and watch this movie today because I seriously wanted to watch it so much! Today is the first day of screening for the movie. I've been wanting to watch this movie ever since i saw the trailer a month ago.

What is it all about?
Remember Sleeping Beauty movie back in 1959? Basically, this movie focus more on Maleficent. Maleficent is known to be evil and cruel towards the king and the king's daughter right? There's a story behind the hatred between Maleficent and the king. Why she became evil and why she wanted to have revenge. All the truth will be told in this movie. And oh, one moral of this story is...
"don't believe in fairy tale."

So if you wanna know more... i suggest you make your way down to the nearest cinema to catch this movie because seriously, i rate this movie a 10 out of 10! I think i might wanna watch this movie again next week after my exams. Just to let you know that i am finally done with school (just left with 2 exams) and my internship before i graduate.

I will be doing a Maleficent Make Up Tutorial soon because i am extremely inspired to do so. Angelina Jolie is such a queen in this movie. Sexy and Classic. Love love love love love love x 1000 love it! Go watch it before its too late!

talk to you soon

Review: THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE PRODUCTS

Guess what??? I did another major damage at The Body Shop again yesterday with one of my girlfriend, Huda! It was a impromptu one. We were casually walking around Lot 1 after we had our meal at Mac Donald and while walking, we passed by The Body Shop. She saw the signage that says "BUY 2 GET 1 FREE." I remembered i had a $10 voucher that i got from the mega sale and so that's how the both of us ended up at The Body Shop.

I didn't want to get anything at first but i was forced to, thanks to Huda!

I have some blemishes and pimple scars on my skin from all the previous pimples that i have squeezed last time so the salesgirl recommended that i try the Tea Tree Facial products that they've launched not too long ago!

I've just try it last night and YES, i am IMPRESSED! I can somehow see a difference in my skin and scars. It definitely starts to clear some of the scars and blemishes. The minty and refreshing smell makes my skin feel refreshed! I'm only using this product at night because i think that this works best during the night.

STEP 1

Start by using the SKIN CLEARING FACIAL WASH to cleanse your face. This facial wash will help to remove all the impurities from your skin. If you have other skin care products that you've been using or been prescribed to, please do not skip them.

STEP 2

After cleansing, take a cotton pad and soak the SKIN CLEARING TONER and swipe it all over your face to remove any extra impurities that are still stuck on your face. Remember to shake the bottle before applying. Just a reminder, this toner has a strong smell, so be prepared to smell extremely minty fresh!

STEP 3

Once the toner has absorb into the skin, time to apply the SKIN CLEARING LOTION. This acts as a lotion and a moisturizer for your skin. Massage the product till it absorbs into the skin and onto the last step!

STEP 4

Last step! Apply the TEA TREE OIL to acne, blemishes and scars. You probably need about a drop or two for it to work. A little goes a long way! After applying the oil, you can start to apply your own skincare products and go to sleep! You will start to see a slight difference the next day. I'm not saying that it will be totally clean from scars but a bit more clean and clear!

I will keep on using this till i finish it up and will let you know the improvements on my skin! If its really good and makes lot and lots of difference, i will consider buying the big full set of this product. I don't mind!

The Body Shop is having a "BUY 2 GET 1 FREE" sale till the 27th of April, 2014. Don't miss your chance!

Hope this post helps.

Review:I AM CAFE @ HAJI LANE

Made my virgin trip to I AM CAFE last Thursday with my cousins, mum and nephew. I've heard a lot of reviews about this cafe and so that's the reason why i recommend to have dinner at this cafe for our monthly gathering.

Thank god we came early and there was some spaces left for us to sit and so this is what we ordered.
Fries and Mayo

Pasta with Tomato Basil Sauce and Home Made Meatballs

Sotong Balls On Fire and Cheesy Bombs

Charcoal Grilled Juicy Beef Burger

I had the Charcoal Grilled Juicy Beef Burger. I was hoping that the Beef Burger will be really really juicy just like what the they described in the menu but no, the beef patty isn't juicy at all, to be honest, the burger is not juicy at all. It's dry. I don't know whether it's because its grilled or its naturally dry.  I was hoping for it to be delicious but no.
Mum and one of my cousin had the pasta with tomato basil sauce and home made meatballs. I asked mum how was the pasta and she said that the pasta was hard, wished it could be boiled for a little longer and add more sauce so that its not dry. Most of the food that we tried was so dry except for the Sotong Balls On Fire and Cheesy Bombs. Oh! We ordered Chicken Wings too but the Chicken looks like it got fried for too long and yes, dry!
No comments for the Fries and Mayo because all i can say is... Mc Donalds Fries tastes BETTER!

But, hold the trumpet! I gotta admit that the desserts was delicious. We had the Rainbow Cake and Rainbow Mille Crepe and gotta say that this is by far the most delicious Rainbow Cake i've ever tasted before! I could taste the Cream Cheese Fillings! Satisfaction! Maybe the reason why this cafe is popular is because of the desserts? Maybe? I don't know about that but to me, there's nothing good to rave about this cafe except for the desserts!

Everything cost us about $112.75! Yes, the service tax is $10! So bring extra cash if you want to!

To end my post for today, I met up with one of my favorite make-up guru from Youtube, Missglamorazzi or known as Ingrid Nilsen! She's having her vacation in Singapore so she decided to have a meet up with her fans here! She's so pretty!

Gotta thank her for making the time to come down to Gardens By The Bay to meet, talk and take pictures with her fans! Love you Ingrid!

Hope this post helps!

Food Review: Tomodachi Halal Japanese Dining

Yay to food reviews! I've not done any food reviews for quite sometime now but i'm back with one today.
I had my dinner at Tomodachi Halal Japanese Dining tonight with my cousins and my mum. Initially, we planned to have dinner at Hei Sushi but my cousin said that there's a Japanese Restaurant at Whitesands Mall so we decided to try something new today.

Instead of having a belt with sushi going around at the side of the table, when you dine at Tomodachi, you have to order and pay first before receiving the food. Here's what we ordered.

I can't remember what we ordered but there's California Roll, Octopus, Sake, Sashimi, Tuna, Fish Roe, Marinated Shrimp, Tempura Sushi, Shrimp Salad, Potato Salad and a bowl of Tom Yum Soup with Noodles.
The food was good, fresh and delicious but i still prefer Hei Sushi because there's a lot more choices of sushi to choose from compared to Tomodachi.

After a heavy meal, we had desserts. We ordered the Rainbow and Red Velvet cake.

There's nothing to rave about for the desserts. Taste as normal as a rainbow cake and the Red Velvet Cake is not rich as any other Red Velvet Cake.

I'll rate this a 7/10. I will definitely come back and eat here again but i would like to try the Western Food next.

Hope this post helps!

Review: Mahkota Hotel, Malacca

If you've read my past three post, i just came back from my vacation in Malacca one day ago. The last time i went to Malacca when i was 13 or 14 years old and i only stayed at my uncle's house whenever we visit Malacca. This is my first time staying at a hotel/apartment in Malacca City itself.

Since my cousin have stayed at Mahkota Hotel in Malacca before, so we expected the hotel to be good since it was a popular spot and place to stay in few years back. Time and things change, the hotel standard went down according to my cousin who has stayed there once.

Photo from AsiaTravel.com

All of the other hotels around Malacca City is fully booked so we had to make do with whatever we have for 2 nights. I won't recommend any of you to stay at this hotel unless you're fine with waiting for 2 hours for the room to be ready, faulty toilet flush, useless air-conditioner, dirty water(yes the water is really dirty and yellow), every extra bed that is requested cost RM77.70 per day (SGD 29.90, just for a bed), faulty room door and if your clothes get messed up and crumpled, you have to go down to the laundry/ironing room to iron your clothes and share it with many people. I'm not trying to say that all that is really bad, i mean, you paid for a APARTMENT ROOM to stay and enjoy your facilities but this is the case, will it be worth your bucks? Of course not. You can get many other hotels that is much more better than this hotel. One more thing i have to add in, my cousin asked the housekeeper to clean their room and the minute we got back to the hotel after a long day of shopping, she found out that the balcony door was wide open. What does this means? It means that the housekeeper isn't doing their job right and all they want is to get the things done fast and let the hotel visitors valuables in danger....See how bad it is?

Seriously, i'm not trying to make their reputation bad but... if you really want to experience a bad hotel in your life, you can come down and try it yourself (:

That's all i can say! Hope this post helps!

Review: KSL Hotel & Resort, Johor Bahru

Hey readers! I'm actually blogging at the hotel room right now at KSL in Johor Bahru. I'm having my short 2 days getaway from Singapore with my family and my cousins. I supposed this plan is made earlier by my mum about us going for a short getaway to JB.

We booked the 'Junior Suite' room. As usual, before going on a holiday, i'll do a research on the hotel facilities first, then i'll move and search pictures of the room that we have booked. I went on Google and found some amazing pictures of the room. Well of course, i'm not deceived by pictures from Google that much. As for me, as long as i don't experience the room myself, the more i won't believe what pictures would actually say. Ok, i don't know if this makes sense but you guys get me right?

We left Singapore early in the morning and made our way to Kota Tinggi because the "oldies" in my family wants to shop for "their stuffs" which includes the traditional malay costumes, scarfs and more. After 2 hours of shopping at Kota Tinggi, we made our way back to the town of Johor Bahru and we checked  in into the hotel!

This time round, we're at KSL Hotel & Resort! Yes guys! Once i entered the room, i believed what Google has showed. Just look at this  photos of the 'Junior Suite' of KSL (this photos is taken by yours truly, not from Google, hehe.)

Not just that guys....look at this amazing view from my room!

Day:

Night:
(This view is taken from the 25th floor, which is my hotel room.)

Isn't it amazing? I didn't expect the hotel to be so cool like this! 5 stars hotel with a connected KSL shopping mall at ground level, swimming pool, Dinosaur Themed Water Park, Gym, 24 hours Room Service. Mmmmm, i feel so rich for a day, night and moment, haha!

But too bad, this is just a 2 days getaway! I wish i can stay longer maybe for a week or so, haha. I really recommend to those of you who wants to go for a short getaway, not too near, not too far away from Singapore, to come here and stay at KSL Hotel & Resort! It's really worth the bucks! $$$

(Ratings: 9/10)

Really hope this post helps!
Goodnight kisses from KSL, Johor Bahru.
Xoxo.

(I'll do a haul post on the stuffs that i bought from this trip!)

Review: Freeman Facial Purifying Clay Mask

Review on Freeman's Facial Purifying Clay Mask in Acai flavor.

(I'm actually blogging this with the mask on my face right now, hehe)

In my previous post, i've said that i bought a mask from Freeman right? Today, i bought it again with my mum. I have two different mask right now. One is in the Peel Off Cucumber Mask & Acai Clay Mask.

I've tried the peel off mask and i'm really amazed by the fact that the mask really cools, tighten, lightened and removes dirt from my face.

"A peel off mask is known for getting the oil and dirt away from the face, hence, lighten and also tighten up all those visible pores!"

I'm really satisfied with it that i bought another one today and actually using it right now.

This clay mask really helps to make my skin feels firmer! The moment i apply in on my face, i could already feel the tingling sensation!

As instructed, for better results, apply this mask 3 to 4 times a week! Since i have two different mask, i'm gonna change it every single week! This mask not only helps to cleanse, it also helps to freshen and lighten up our faces!

Sidenote, i went out today to get my hair products because my hairfall is getting from bad to worst! So i'm currently using this product called "V'tane Pro-System" for my hair and i'll do a review as soon as i see improvements to my hair!

                         Till then,
                     Xoxo, Athirah :)
