Food Review: Papa Rich @ West Gate Mall a

A proper post today!

I've been to WestGate Mall once or twice with my friends after school. My mum has never been to any shopping mall near Jurong East except for Jcube and IMM. We decided to go shopping at IMM and then walk around West Gate. Mum wanted to try something different for dinner on that day and we found...

About a year or two ago, Papa Rich wasn't halal in Singapore and it got halal recently!
I've never been to any Papa Rich Restaurant before but i know that Papa Rich in Malaysia is halal (almost all the restaurants are halal in Malaysia.)
We decided to dine in at Papa Rich.

Mum had the Asam Laksa, my sister got the Chicken Rice and i got the "Ipoh Kway Teow Soup."
Mum said that the Asam Laksa was alright and for me, the noodles are just...ok. Not so great but i will definitely buy it whenever i want to have something light and not spicy. I was actually looking forward to have tom yum noodles but there no tom yum soup in the menu. *sad face*

I rate this restaurant 8/10. I wish it could have more food in the menu.
A nice and decent dinner for a first timer!
Next up to try is the Japanese Teppanyaki! Been wanting to try it for such a long time but i have to wait until fasting month is over.
Can't wait to enjoy all those great food again!
*drools*

ANYWAY,
Just to let you guys know. I am now very very active on Youtube. I've been filming a lot these past few weeks. I'm currently trying to bring my channel up on Youtube.
I've decided that my Youtube channel will be a Beauty/Music channel
and
I'm going to upload at least 1 or 2 videos per week (depending on how long i'll take to edit one video) if i edit fast, i'll post 2 videos!
Here's the latest video that i posted last night!

Ignored.

Ignored. I'm sure everyone has ever felt that way before. Being ignored by your family and friends. Family don't usually ignore each other unless they really hate you or something but i'm sure everyone has ever been ignored by a friend or you ignore a friend. What i'm about to share today in this blog post are things that i have gone through sometime ago...

I just don't understand myself sometimes.

I put in effort to show to others that i love them and care for them but none of them realized it. During my secondary school days, i had so many crushes on guys. Some were REAL crushes and the others was just a normal crush. There's this guy in my class whom i like so much, i gave him signals, made efforts to show to him that i'm interested in him indirectly but...nothing worked out. I had to confess to him and... I GOT REJECTED.
I don't understand why. Maybe it was just too early for everything? Maybe. I feel ignored after the confession that i made to him. Everything was just so awkward at that point of time.
(but we're somehow close friends now, we will text each other once in a while and i'm thankful for that.) He's now a history, lol.

Last year, 2013.
(I know, i was in a relationship last year but it only lasted for 2 weeks or so, i can't remember)
There's this guy that i met at another college. Again, he's just another crush but...
I was interested in him so much just like when i like that guy in my secondary school days. We met twice. I still remember i had butterflies in my stomach when i met him
at Starbucks with my friends. I think he knew that i sort of have a crush on him but he didn't make it obvious, i guess? My friends was so supportive of me liking him, well, that's the least that i know? Maybe they don't but they act like they do. I don't know.
We talked, we mentioned each other on Twitter and then in December, it was his birthday. He like donuts, strawberries and he wished to get a helium balloon for his 17th birthday (that's what he tweeted on Twitter)
I, woke up early in the morning to travel all the way to downtown Singapore, to get donuts and strawberries. Travel to two different places, to get all the stuff FOR HIM.
YES, FOR HIM.
I waited, 2 hours under his apartment block. I didn't had his number at that time so i sent him a Direct Message on Twitter to let him know that i was waiting downstairs with presents for him since it's his birthday. He came down and i could see that he was quite shocked.  We took some pictures and then i left.

I know, if we like someone, we have to put in the effort to let them know or at least make them notice us.

My 18th Birthday.
My girlfriends, invited him(that guy that i suprised) to celebrate my 18th birthday together. He told my girlfriends that he will come to celebrate my birthday in return to what i did for his birthday but...the night before my birthday, he backed off. He told one of my girls that he couldn't make it and therefore we should just go ahead without him. I didn't know that he was invited until he texted me and say "I'm sorry i couldn't make it to your birthday but i'll make it up to you one day with donuts."
I was shocked. I never thought that my friends will actually invite him. I told him that its fine that he couldn't join us (hoping that he will actually change his mind and actually go.)

Up till today...he never came back to make it up to me. We mentioned each other on Twitter sometimes and there was once he said "oh i still haven't get you donuts." and i was happy that he remembered but yeah, still no sign of him up till today. And guess what? 5 months has passed, he had a girlfriend, broke up with her and now he's dating another girl. I'm sure he dated more than 2 or 3 girls in the past 5 months.

I was there all along, waiting for him, not like i want him so badly that i would jump down a building. But, all i wanted was him to just notice what i did for him. I know its not that much but i put in so much efforts but everything just doesn't get to where i want it to be. I don't know if i'm cursed or what but seriously...i have made so much efforts in letting someone know that i care for them and all i ever get in return is...
BEING AND GETTING IGNORED.
It's not fun.

I'm more stable now like i'm happy with my life being around  my family and friends. I think that the guys that I've dated previously has made me change my perspective of guys. I think that most guys are the same, except some. If you're lucky enough, you will find someone that is not the same like the rest. Therefore, after all this that happened to me in my past, i have finally made a decision that i'm just gonna let everything go with the flow, wait for the right time and all i want to do now is to cherish and ENJOY life as much as i can because i'm not sure if i'm guaranteed another day to live my life.

I will wait for that right person to come and prove to me that not all guys are the same. I will wait for the day to come.
Trust me, being happy is the best thing the world.
I know i'm stronger than this.

I just hope that one day, all this people will realized those that are standing right in front of their eyes all this while.. and regret the things that they did not do rather than the things that they did. (:

Athirah (:

Medium Ash Brown Hair

After a long long long period of time with dark brown/black hair, I finally decided to change up my hair color once again. The last time i had crazy colors on my hair was during my school holidays last year. Since i ended school earlier this month, i have actually planned to color dark royal blue to my hair but my mum didn't allow me to do so. I took some time to search around the internet for colors that are suitable for my hair and i finally found the color that will go well!

Medium Ash Brown.

I'm on a budget this month because it's the school holidays and i will need money if i were to go out with my friends so i decided to buy the normal Revlon Hair Dye that is available at any drugstore. Thank god i found the color that i wanted. The last time i dyed my hair Alphine Green, i didn't bleach it properly so the color didn't came out that much so i learnt my lesson and i make sure that i bleach it properly this time and here's the process of bleaching my hair.

I've never EVER seen myself having such bright color on my hair so i was a bit in shock when the color came out. My mum saw it too and she said that i look like a witch. I blow dried my hair so that i could start dyeing my hair to the color that i wanted. I'm using Revlon's Medium Ash Brown in number 40.

Yes, $4.50 only so cheap!

I waited for 30 minutes for the color to set and washed it off. Blow dried my hair again and here's the final results. I ended everything at 2AM last night, haha.

This was taken today. The color was more visible indoors and also under the sunlight.

I am loving my new hair color and i'm planning to re-dye it again once i start to see black roots and keep on re-dye it over and over again till i get bored of it. Now, what i can hope for is that, my attachment place will allow me to have colors on my hair. *prays hard*

Waiting for my McDonalds to arrive now
Hope this post helps!

Nene Chicken @ Bedok Mall

Tried Nene Chicken for the first time yesterday with my secondary school friends. We decided to have dinner at Nene Chicken since most of us haven't tried it before. At first, I thought that Nene Chicken was like KFC, just normal fried chicken with fries and a coke. Amirah told me that Nene Chicken is from Korea so the chicken is cooked in Korean-Style. Basically the chicken is coated in different type of sauces. There's cheese sauce, Swicy Chicken, Freaking Hot and more like Sesame Chicken. The chicken are served with Buffalo Wings which i think tastes similar as McDonald's Twister Fries.

The set meal and i ordered some 'NenePoP' as my side dish. It's just popcorn chicken. And if you know me, I like spicy food so i ordered the Freaking Hot Chicken and extra Freaking Hot Sauce. I swear it is FREAKING HOT. I had to buy 2 cups of Coke Light because the chicken is too spicy but its sooooooooooo goood (:

I don't even know why it's called Buffalo Sticks. It's not made from Buffalo but...haha, it taste just like McDonald's Twister Fries. Definitely gonna get this when i'm craving for twister fries.

Omg, craving for it again now.  *.*

One weird thing: They will serve you plastic gloves to use when you eat the chicken and it was my first time eating with gloves on so that explains why my face in the third picture, haha. The actual reason why they gave you the glove is because...there's so sink for you to wash your hands after eating. I still don't get it why there's no sink for us to wash our hands. Maybe this is a traditional way of eating at Nene Chicken?

Haziqah had to leave so that explains why we had to take pictures with her first. We ended up walking around Bedok Mall. I bought some sushi, chocolates before going home. Thank god Bedok Mall is just a few metres away from my home.

Had a great dinner with girls! Hope to hang around with you guys again soon!

Taylor Swift's - THE RED TOUR

THE SHOW WAS FREAKING AWESOME!
I gotta admit that Taylor Swift sounds so good live that i had chills when she hits all those high notes! I'm having a post concert depression now, i always have this whenever i go to a concert. The show was so awesome that i wished i had went for both shows in Singapore. Last night's show was the last show for The Red Tour and Taylor sure put in more effort for the last show!

I'm so happy that i got to experience this sold out show. Still remember how heartbroken i was when i didn't had any tickets to her show earlier this week.

I sat directly facing the stage so this picture was taken when i entered the arena. I thought the stage was so small but no, it was huge and it's so near to wear i'm sitting plus there's two stage altogether. Stage A and Stage B. It means that Taylor will perform at both stage! I got to see Taylor clearly when she performed at Stage B.

The show started with an opening act from Imprompt-3, a local band from Singapore who won the Ride to Fame Contest by Cornetto. They opened up the show by performing a few popular songs and some of their original. It took about half an hour before Taylor makes her appearance. She started off the show with performing her hit song, Treacherous. Next was Holy Ground. The audience was so hyped up all the time during the show! I like how Swifties (Taylor Swift's fans) dress up themselves in red colored shirts, pants and even had some posters and LED light around them. It is a tradition to do a LED light poster for a Taylor Swift's concert.

Don't know if you could see it.

Taylor then did an opening speech for Singapore and then continued singing. She sang the song Red so perfectly that i had chills because it was SO GOD DAMN AWESOME. She totally killed those high notes. Taylor sang 13 songs in total.

- Treacherous
- Holy Ground
-Red
- Mean
-The Lucky One
- 22
-You Belong With Me (B-Stage)
- Long Live (B-Stage)
- Sparks Fly (B-Stage)
- I Knew You Were Trouble
- All Too Well
- Love Story
- We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Finale)

You can find more videos of her singing on Youtube. And guess who i saw at the concert sitting near the sound pit area??? I freaking saw Ellie Goulding at the show too! She is in Singapore for her own concert today, Friday 13th. Taylor definitely sang every song perfectly and i could see that she's tired but she put in more effort since its the last show. The dancers and the band was awesome too. Last night was just... magical. I didn't thought that i could be at Taylor's show. My dreams definitely came true last night and i'm thankful for everything that has happened to me these past few years. I like how i am enjoying myself going to concerts and meeting and making new friends everywhere. Love it.

That's it. That's the end of the RED era and I'm waiting for Taylor to release her next album, album number 5! Her manager announced that album 5 will be better and the fans will totally love it. Can't wait for it! I wish i could thank Taylor personally for what she has done in my life. She's my inspiration and i like how she can write songs in under 30 minutes and play the guitar for hours and hours till her fingers will bleed.

Definitely a great night last night.
Gotta go and heal my post concert depression now.
Till then,
Love

PRE CONCERT - TAYLOR SWIFT THE RED TOUR

So excited to blog about this because.....I have to tell you guys this!
I'M GOING TO TAYLOR SWIFT'S
THE RED TOUR
CONCERT!

I was heartbroken the other day when the tickets for the Red Tour was sold out in under 30 minutes after it was being released. I missed the chance to see Taylor back in 2011 when she was doing her Sparks Fly tour and I really don't want to miss any chance, anymore! Initially, there is only one show for Singapore but due to the political events that is going on in Bangkok, Taylor's crew decided to cancel off the show and add another show in Singapore!

The best part is that... SINGAPORE IS THE LAST STOP FOR THE RED TOUR, WHICH MEANS, IT MUST BE SPECIAL RIGHT?? I can't wait to share this experience with all of you. Be sure to hang around my blog and wait for the blog post to be up! I promise i will blog about it as soon as i get home or the next day!

Can't wait! See you in less than a day, Taylor!

Maleficent Movie (Review)

Watched "Maleficent" today! It was a last last minute plan to go and watch this movie today because I seriously wanted to watch it so much! Today is the first day of screening for the movie. I've been wanting to watch this movie ever since i saw the trailer a month ago.

What is it all about?
Remember Sleeping Beauty movie back in 1959? Basically, this movie focus more on Maleficent. Maleficent is known to be evil and cruel towards the king and the king's daughter right? There's a story behind the hatred between Maleficent and the king. Why she became evil and why she wanted to have revenge. All the truth will be told in this movie. And oh, one moral of this story is...
"don't believe in fairy tale."

So if you wanna know more... i suggest you make your way down to the nearest cinema to catch this movie because seriously, i rate this movie a 10 out of 10! I think i might wanna watch this movie again next week after my exams. Just to let you know that i am finally done with school (just left with 2 exams) and my internship before i graduate.

I will be doing a Maleficent Make Up Tutorial soon because i am extremely inspired to do so. Angelina Jolie is such a queen in this movie. Sexy and Classic. Love love love love love love x 1000 love it! Go watch it before its too late!

talk to you soon

Youtube Fan Fest - 24th May 2014

My FIRST time ever going for the Youtube Fan Fest, last Saturday. Youtube Fan Fest started in May 2013, where they brought famous Youtubers to Southeast Asia and other countries. Last two years, it was the Youtube Stars Concert where they invite mostly the musicians on Youtube to come to Singapore and perform. Last year, they invited more Youtubers that makes different kinds of video to come to Singapore. I still remember last year, they invited the amazing singers like Chester See, Sam Tsui, Kurt Schneider, the make-up guru like Bethany Mota and more... I didn't go for the event last year but i got to go this year!

I didn't have tickets to see any of the shows but, i saw some sources on Twitter saying that there will be a red carpet at the event itself which is located at Scape, Orchard. Since i didn't have any tickets, i decided to just go to the red carpet to get a glimpse of my favorite Youtuber, Bethany Mota (who does make-up tutorials, DIY's) and the rest of the Youtuber who is coming down for the event. Ryan Higa, Tyler Oakley, Troye Sivan, Xiaxue, Tosh Rock and more other Youtubers from Singapore and other countries were also there for the event.

Here's me taking picture at the red carpet with the larger than life poster of the Youtube Fan Fest.

(The weather was extremely hot that day so that explains why i didn't bother to dress up because i know i'm going to sweat a lot while waiting.)

I took part in some of the contest to win the Meet And Greet with Bethany Mota by HP Singapore. But sadly, i didn't win the Meet and Greet but...(stay tuned)

The 3pm show ended at 5pm and so that's when all the Youtuber will walk down the red carpet and meet all their fans that are waiting for them by the barriers near the red carpet. I saw Munah and Hirzi right infront of my eyes. I didn't bother to go to the front because i couldn't stand the pushing and pulling from the other fans so i stood at the back and just watched from afar. I only came to the front when Bethany was walking around signing autographs and taking pictures and i managed to snap some pictures of her and the rest of the Youtubers walking down the red carpet.

To cut it short, there was a surprise visit by Black Eyed Peas. The stars only got 15 minutes to walk down the red carpet before the next show. I waited till 7pm just to know who will win the Meet and Greet. They needed 100 people to do a simple video and so i ran and took part and I WON THE TICKET TO THE 8pm show on that day but.. i only got one so i couldn't go because i can't leave my cousin alone because he accompanied me for the whole day.

I had an idea. I decided to give away my ticket to someone who is really a fan of Bethany and must totally deserve it. There's this girl who won a Meet and Greet and she said that she is willing to trade for a ticket and so yeap, i did trade my ticket with her for a MEET AND GREET WITH BETH! I shall share about the experience soon, when i have the time (if i remember, haha)

This event is nothing compared to the F1 Closing Concert last year where i waited 8 hours under the hot sun just to see my babe, Justin Bieber. But, it was all worth it!

I hope to see more of this event being held in Singapore but the location seriously needs to be changed. A special thanks to my cousin who spent the whole day waiting for me and wasting his time for me to see my stars. Thanks!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

HEI SUSHI @ BEDOK POINT

Had an interview last Friday at Sentosa for my upcoming internship this July. I was supposed to meet my best friend after the interview but she backed off the last minute so i was free the whole afternoon. Since i was free, i text-ed up my cousin and asked her if she was free. She decided to have sushi that afternoon so we decided to meet up at Hei Sushi at Bedok Mall.

I usually go to the one at Downtown East but since they opened up an outlet at Bedok Mall...why not try right? Instead of the usual computer, Bedok Mall outlet uses Ipad for customers to order their sushi that they want. Cool huh? As usual, i ordered some Sashimi, Octopus, Crabsticks and more sushi!

FAT SASHIMI!!!!!
I was so hungry so i didn't get lots of pictures but all i can say is that it was delicious. Thank god it wasn't crowded at that time! I will want to go again! *craving for it now*

UPDATE

Haven't had the time to update my blog these few weeks due to my busy schedule. Though I'm done with my school projects, i still have a couple more things to rush through before i leave for my Industrial Attachment Program. Since this is my last lap, i really have a lot to buck up, especially my attendance. I'm just gonna do a short update on what has happened recently.

End of April

Spent most of the time with my girls in school and during outings. Trying our best to spend more time together before we actually go for our attachment. Times like this are the best in life where i just get to spend time with my friends and family. I will be busy from July onward so this is definitely a good time to be with them! I have another 3 weeks of school and that's it! EXAMS AND THEN HOLIDAYS!

Early May

I was supposed to follow my dad for a short 5 days trip to Bali but it clashes with my common test dates so that explains why i couldn't follow him to Bali. (I hope to actually visit Bali one day.) My dad managed to send me pictures of Bali and i'm totally loving the pictures! Can't wait to tick Bali off my bucket list....one day (:

For now, i have to concentrate for my finals exams and then i can enjoy! I will update more!

Review: THE BODY SHOP TEA TREE PRODUCTS

Guess what??? I did another major damage at The Body Shop again yesterday with one of my girlfriend, Huda! It was a impromptu one. We were casually walking around Lot 1 after we had our meal at Mac Donald and while walking, we passed by The Body Shop. She saw the signage that says "BUY 2 GET 1 FREE." I remembered i had a $10 voucher that i got from the mega sale and so that's how the both of us ended up at The Body Shop.

I didn't want to get anything at first but i was forced to, thanks to Huda!

I have some blemishes and pimple scars on my skin from all the previous pimples that i have squeezed last time so the salesgirl recommended that i try the Tea Tree Facial products that they've launched not too long ago!

I've just try it last night and YES, i am IMPRESSED! I can somehow see a difference in my skin and scars. It definitely starts to clear some of the scars and blemishes. The minty and refreshing smell makes my skin feel refreshed! I'm only using this product at night because i think that this works best during the night.

STEP 1

Start by using the SKIN CLEARING FACIAL WASH to cleanse your face. This facial wash will help to remove all the impurities from your skin. If you have other skin care products that you've been using or been prescribed to, please do not skip them.

STEP 2

After cleansing, take a cotton pad and soak the SKIN CLEARING TONER and swipe it all over your face to remove any extra impurities that are still stuck on your face. Remember to shake the bottle before applying. Just a reminder, this toner has a strong smell, so be prepared to smell extremely minty fresh!

STEP 3

Once the toner has absorb into the skin, time to apply the SKIN CLEARING LOTION. This acts as a lotion and a moisturizer for your skin. Massage the product till it absorbs into the skin and onto the last step!

STEP 4

Last step! Apply the TEA TREE OIL to acne, blemishes and scars. You probably need about a drop or two for it to work. A little goes a long way! After applying the oil, you can start to apply your own skincare products and go to sleep! You will start to see a slight difference the next day. I'm not saying that it will be totally clean from scars but a bit more clean and clear!

I will keep on using this till i finish it up and will let you know the improvements on my skin! If its really good and makes lot and lots of difference, i will consider buying the big full set of this product. I don't mind!

The Body Shop is having a "BUY 2 GET 1 FREE" sale till the 27th of April, 2014. Don't miss your chance!

Hope this post helps.
Love,
Athirah
