Malacca Trip: Day 2

Second day in Malacca:
Didn't had breakfast at the hotel(because the charge for having breakfast here is too expensive.) Left the hotel room in the afternoon and head down to Klebang to have the popular and famous coconut shake.

If you're planning to come to Malacca, you have to come down and try it!

And this is what i had for my late breakfast! Sausage Rolls!

We spent around an hour at the Dataran Pahlawan and visit the landmarks there.

The weather was nice and warm so after walking around, we went to the Dahtaran Pahlawan Megamall to shop (my favourite part) all i got was a big black duffel bag, Starbucks and mum got me some clothes but there wasn't that much thing that caught my eyes there except for the bag.

After spending hours of shopping, we had our dinner at a local seafood restaurant. The service there is so lousy so i wouldn't recommend this to you guys. The food came after an hour of waiting, no forks/spoons, the food isn't that tasty and the service is just a no-no...

This will be the first and last time eating there! Everyone got pissed off with the service and the staffs. To get the pissed feeling off, all of us had durians by the roadside stall before going back to the hotel to rest!

Today has been a really tiring day, as usual but the sad thing is that....tomorrow is the last day and then back to Singapore(reality) :( I wished holidays would last forever and ever but no. Lol!

Will try to update tomorrow night if i'm not tired okay? Goodnight xx

Malacca Trip: Day 1

Blogging in my hotel room right now! Hello everyone! I've reached Malacca safely yesterday in the afternoon. I didn't get to sleep last night because i was too excited for this trip. I actually spent time watching two movies before getting up at 3:30am.

Left the house and went to meet up with my other cousins who are going for this trip and we left Singapore in the morning at 6am. The journey from Singapore to Malacca will take around 3 hours but all of us took a longer time because we went to the resting area and had a short rest.

The hotel that i'm currently staying is...Mahkota Parade Hotel in Malacca. I thought this hotel will be a amazing 4 star hotel because i'm actually staying in a apartment room. What i can say about this hotel is that...THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN MALAYSIA! Why?!

- They made us wait for 2 hours for them to clean up and make the room.
- The toilet bowl flush is broken.
- The exterior design of the hotel looks really nice and cozy, but the minute i walk down the corridors of the hotel, it gives me a chill down the spine.
-YOU HAVE TO GO DOWN TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM TO IRON YOUR CLOTHES. They don't provide ironing boards to your room.
- Every extra bed that is requested will be charged at $77.70 per DAY! (Can you imagine how much it'll cost?! I might as well get another room.)

Look at the exterior design of the hotel surroundings.

I won't go further about this hotel. All i can say is that this is not a good hotel to recommend around to your friends.

Ratings: 2/10

Nonetheless, we got to explore Malacca today. We had dinner at a local malay rice restaurant. And this is what i ate for my early dinner.

I was told by my friend that when i come to Malacca, i must try out the Chicken Rice Ball but it isn't halal so obviously i won't try it out!

We then went for some grocery shopping to stock up food in our room for the next 3 days. We shopped at Parkson and Giant and head off to Jonker Street and Hard Rock Cafe to experience the night life in Malacca. We also got to see the Malacca River Cruise boat and the hotel that is near the sea which is the Casa Del Rio, Malacca.

Jonker Streets reminds me of Chaktuchak market in Bangkok. I managed to get some accesories for myself before going back to the hotel.

Basically, thats what i did on my first day here in Malacca. Will update tomorrow xx

Love,
Athirah

Hectic yet fun weekend!

Family day at the zoo yesterday with some of my cousins. We decided to visit the zoo and at the same time, celebrated one of my nephew's birthday.

Since we had only one car available yesterday, my mum, two of my cousins and myself decided to travel to the zoo via public transport. We usually travel by car but since the car is full, we have to find our way to the zoo ourselves! Thank god i still remember the way to the zoo from Ang Mo Kio interchange.

A zoo trip wouldn't be complete without a outfit of the day picture right? Haha. Thank god the zoo has wheelchair facilities so its much more easier for my grandma to travel around the zoo without getting tired! We ended our Saturday by having dinner at my grandma's house!

Monday (today) i was supposed to go to school but i had a really really bad menstrual cramp so i decided not to go school and take a medical leave. I finally had time to find my facial products! I've always wanted to try the new L'Oreal Hydra Fresh Mask-in-Lotion water but...my budget is tight this month so i just decided to invest in my usual moisturizer.

My make up products has not been stocked up yet because i'm broke for this month. I'm not working anymore! (This sucks so much) but....something exciting is coming up!

I wont have time to update my blog that much because i'm busy rehearsing for Sentosa Spooktacular and i'm celebrating halloween this year...as a ghost, hehe :P

Till then, guess who am i?

Inspired Make Up Looks

I still remember mentioning in my previous post saying that i'm going to Johor last Sunday right? Yes, i did. Had an enjoyable time there going shopping, massaging and do all sorts of other stuff. We set off around 11 to Johor and we stopped by two places on that day. I didn't buy much stuff at the first place but i did buy something i really like at the second shopping place that we went to! Do you guys want to know what i bought for myself?

I bought a...

Justin Bieber's 'Someday' perfume! It was quite cheap there! It was around RM30 so if i convert it to Singapore Dollars, it cost me around $12! Cheap ain't it?

While i was in Johor, i went for a foot reflexology, many people said that it's really painful but i don't find it painful but it's more of ticklish...(: I tried weighing how much fat i have in my body and i'm really disappointed looking at the amount of fats i have in my body and i think i really need to work out more, soon! Had a amazing dinner before going back to Singapore.

On Monday, I went to one of my cousin's house and we actually did some make-up tutorials and this is what i did. ( Most of the pictures are in her camera, so i'll upload it once i have it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsqahGYl21w -this is a Angelina Jolie make up transformation by Promise Phan. Here's a picture of how i look when i did this make up look!

I admit that i don't look like Angelina Jolie at ALL! But i look sweet in this photo? *self-praising* Most of the make-up that i use is from my cousin. She owns a lot of make up stuffs! Since it's summer there in America and Singapore is a 365 days of summer, i decided to do this tutorial. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6egac-SFE6Q -It's a Rainbow Eye Make up tutorial from Michelle Phan. I don't have the pictures on the process of this make up tutorial but i have some pictures that i took when it's done! Here!

I look like one of my favorite childhood ice-cream called "paddle-pop"! I really had a great time doing this two tutorial. After doing all this looks, we ate our late lunch and it's time for....COOKIE BAKING!

After the "baking session", i have to rush home because i'm going to my cousin graduation show at NAFA(Nanyang Academy Of Fine Arts). I can see that there's a lot of students who did well for their Final Year Project! Amazing job! Here's some of the pictures that i took!

I really had an enjoyable Monday with all those activities. I'm just relaxing at home these few days because school's in in 5 days time! I need more of my beauty sleep and all that but i'm also looking forward for school!

Have a great day ahead!
